Hi my name is Rachel Frye!

I am a Senior Communication major at Penn State Behrend with certificates in Social Media, Public Relations and Advertising. I am outgoing, hardworking and love to communicate with others. I am also a student athlete at Behrend on the volleyball team. 

My biggest strength is that I am a leader. I was raised to be strong and to have a voice and I found that being these two things contribute to me being a powerful leader. I am the current captain of the Penn State Behrend Volleyball team. I love working together as a team to accomplish a goal.

Another strength of mine is that I am hardworking and committed. I will never walk away from a project or piece of work that is not completed to the best of my ability. I am committed to my work and want to make sure everything that I do is done at 110%.

A few hobbies of mine are playing volleyball, crafting and writing. I have been playing volleyball since I was in 3rd grade and have loved the sport ever since. In my free time, I really enjoy going out to gather supplies to craft. I love painting, building things and drawing. Writing is a passion of mine as well. I have always pushed myself to become a better writer each and every day.

As well as being a player on the Behrend volleyball team, I am the Lifestyles Editor of the Behrend Beacon (Penn State Behrend’s student newspaper). As the editor, I am writing and publishing stories to a layout that I have designed for each weeks newspaper issue.
